If your table is located someplace within you document, it is simple to type a line of text above it. The challenge comes when you start your document by placing a table at the top of the first page. The solution taken by many is to cut the table and paste it on a different page – after first typing the sentence or heading that you want to place above it.

To type above your table, simply do the following:
- Place your cursor in front of the first character that is in your table
- Press the enter key.
That’s it! Amazing isn’t it? You are now positioned above you table and can type any text desired.
